Til- Mawa Ladoo with Jaggary




These laddos are made generally for the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti. These Soft texture ladoo are extreme flavorful and creamy as they are made from ground oilseeds like Sesame Seeds and Ground nut and Mawa or Milk Solids and are Spiced with Cardamon and Nutmeg. Made Sweet with the goodness of Jaggery. They are made bite sized and compels you to pop one right into your mouth .

Ingredients


  1. Seseme/Til 1.5 C

  2. Ground Nut powder 2 tbsp

  3. Desicated Coconut 2 tbsp

  4. Jaggery 2 C

  5. Ghee 1 tbsp

  6. Mawa 1C

  7. Cardamon 1tsp

  8. Nutmeg ½ tsp

Instructions

Step 1

 

Take a pan and add 2 C of unpolished Sesame Seeds and dry roast them, till they lose their raw flavor(2-4 min).

Step 2

 

They turn slightly brown and start spluttering. Now remove Seeds from the Gas and allow to Cool. Keep about 2 tbsp aside for Garnish. After cooling then, grind into a coarse powder.

Step 3

 

Now to this Sesame Seed powder add 4 tbsp of roasted Groundnut powder. Now roast some desiccated Coconut in very low flame till it turns slightly pink. Now remove from the gas and Allow to cool.

Step 4

 

· In the same pan add 1 tbsp of Ghee and Add 1 C of Mawa, sauté for 5-6 Min. Now remove from the gas and keep aside.

Step 5

 

Add Another 11/2 tbsp of Ghee and now add 2 C of Jaggery. Now allow the Jaggery to melt completely.

Step 6

 

Now add the Sesame and Groundnut powder, add the Mawa and start mixing. Keep the gas on sim.



Add 2 tbsp of Desicated Coconut

Step 7

 

· Now add Cardamon powder, desiccated Coconut, grate some Nutmeg. Add ½ tbsp of remaining Ghee, this gives a nice shine to Ladoos.

Grate  1/2 tsp of Nutmeg
Grate 1/2 tsp of Nutmeg

Add 2 tbsp of Sesame Seeds
Add 2 tbsp of Sesame Seeds

Remove the pan

Step 10

 

Now start rolling the Ladoos while the mixture is warm. Decorate with Cashew pieces
