Try these mini oats idli are, which are light, fluffy, Steamed oats cakes perfect for breakfast made In a jiffy, still healthy or a Tiffin snack. These are the no fermentation idlis with oats, curd (yogurt), semolina, and tempered with spices like Mustard seeds, Curry leaves, Sambar Masala,

This recipe can be customized by add veggies of your choice we have added grated carrots. Try this quick cooking easy snack




INGREDIENTS

  1. OATS 1C

  2. SEMOLINA ½ C

  3. WATER 1 C + ½ C

  4. YOGURT ½ C

  5. SOAD/ ENO SALT 1 TSP

  6. OIL 12 TBSP

  7. MUSTARD SEED 1 TSP

  8. CUMIN SEEDS 1TSP

  9. SPLIT BLACK GRAM 1 TSP

  10. ASAFETIDA ¼ TSP

  11. BENGAL GRAM 1/ TSP

  12. OBNION 1 LARGE

  13. TOMATO 1 LARGE

  14. CARROT 1 MEDIUM

  15. CURRY LEAVES 8-10

  16. CORANDER LEAVES 2 TBSP

  17. CHILLI PWD 1 TSP

  18. SAMBAR POWDER 1 TSP

  19. DHANIYA JEERA PWD 1 TSP

Instructions


  • In a pan, roast 1 C of Oats , and then grind into a fine powder.

  • Add ½ C of Semolina/ Rawa to it. An then Add ½ C of beaten Yogurt preferable sour and mix after adding 1 C of rawa. Season with some salt

  • Rest for 20 min.

  • Add 1 tsp of Eno salt or any soda of your choice.

  • Mix well add ½ C of water.

  • Make mini idlis and steam for 8-10 minutes. Stan for 5 min and demould

  • In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil. Add a tempering of mustard, cumin, asafetida and turmeric powder. Sauté the Onions , tomatoes and grated carrots. Sauté. Add chili powder, dhaniya-jeera powder and Sambar powder, sugar and salt. Now add the mini oats idlis.

  • Now toss the idlis with the masala . Now serve hot garnish with coriander leaves and lime juice.
