INGREDIENTS
OATS 1C
SEMOLINA ½ C
WATER 1 C + ½ C
YOGURT ½ C
SOAD/ ENO SALT 1 TSP
OIL 12 TBSP
MUSTARD SEED 1 TSP
CUMIN SEEDS 1TSP
SPLIT BLACK GRAM 1 TSP
ASAFETIDA ¼ TSP
BENGAL GRAM 1/ TSP
OBNION 1 LARGE
TOMATO 1 LARGE
CARROT 1 MEDIUM
CURRY LEAVES 8-10
CORANDER LEAVES 2 TBSP
CHILLI PWD 1 TSP
SAMBAR POWDER 1 TSP
DHANIYA JEERA PWD 1 TSP
Instructions
In a pan, roast 1 C of Oats , and then grind into a fine powder.
Add ½ C of Semolina/ Rawa to it. An then Add ½ C of beaten Yogurt preferable sour and mix after adding 1 C of rawa. Season with some salt
Rest for 20 min.
Add 1 tsp of Eno salt or any soda of your choice.
Mix well add ½ C of water.
Make mini idlis and steam for 8-10 minutes. Stan for 5 min and demould
In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil. Add a tempering of mustard, cumin, asafetida and turmeric powder. Sauté the Onions , tomatoes and grated carrots. Sauté. Add chili powder, dhaniya-jeera powder and Sambar powder, sugar and salt. Now add the mini oats idlis.
Now toss the idlis with the masala . Now serve hot garnish with coriander leaves and lime juice.
