Sattu flour is a tasty, healthy, wholesome flour mix that comes very handy when you crave for some comfort food. Many recipes like Sattu paratha, ladoo, porridge, pudding can be made. We have given it a healthy mix to the Sattu porridge by adding jaggary and flaxseeds and Chia Seeds.

It is very easy recipe, comes in handy when you are pressed for time and still want something healthy and filling. It is a highly aromatic mix. Store it in an airtight container to retain the aroma.

The portion sizes mentioned serve two adults, since it is quite filling. For kid you can reduce the portions to 11/2 tsp of sattu flour.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for the Sattu Porridge


(SERVE 2 Adults) for kids (1.5 tbsp/per person)


1) SATTU FLOUR MIX 6TBSP


2) JAGGARY 1TBSP

3) MILK 1 C


4) NUTMEG 1/2 TSP


5) CHIA SEEDS 1/2 TSP


6) ROASTED FLAXSEED 1 TSP

POWDER

Ingredients for Sattu Flour Mix


1) WHOLE WHEAT 500g


2) ROASTED CHANNA DAAL 250 g


3) DRY GINGER 2 INCH


4) CARDAMON 15-20 PODS


5) CUMMIN SEEDS 2 TSP


Instructions for Sattu Poridge


Step 1

 

1] Blend/whisk the sattu flour, jaggary, nutmeg then milk into a blender and blend into porride consistency. Add more milk if you want it thinner. Add Roasted flaxseed powder and Chia Seeds,

If you use warm milk it can be consumed immediately as a porridge or refrigerate add nuts and let it set, It can be enjoyed as a pudding

Instructions for Sattu Flour Mix


Step 1

 

Heat a wok and add the Wheat grains ,Dry roast the grain for 20 min. Then add the channa daal. Dry roast along with wheat flour for 5-7 Min. Bite into the daal ansd check if done else continue roasting for 10 -12 min.


Step 3

 

Now Add the cumin seed give a mix and Shut of the gas, So that the seeds get roasted by heat of Daal and Wheat flour

Then pound the dry ginger into smithereens and add to wheat mix. De- Shell the Cardamon Pods and Mix Thoroughly .


Step 4

 

Cool completely then put a container and get it ground from a flour mill and Volla your sattu mix is ready
