Instant homemade Mawa or Khoya for Diwali Sweet dishes


Mawa or Khoya is a basic ingredient which is prepared by boiling and desiccating milk which is a time consuming process. We a prepare Khoya instantly in actually 2 minutes of cooking. Do follow this recipe to make instant homemade fresh Khoya which is hygienically prepared and has same crumbly texture that we require for our sweet dishes

Ingredients

  • Milk Powder 1 C

  • Milk ½ C

  • Ghee /Clarified butter 2 tbsp



Instructions for the Vermicelli Upma


Step 1

 

To make homemade Mawa/Khoya heat a pan and add 2 tablespoons of Ghee or Clarified butter to it.

Step 2

 

When the ghee is melted and half cup of milk. This milk has to be at room temperature..

Step 3

 

When the milk starts to boil at milk powder, You have to add the milk powder in Three batches. Keep the flame low and keep stirring


Step 4

 

As soon as you add the first batch of milk powder starts stirring immediately so that no lumps are formed.When the 1st batch of milk powder is incorporated add the next . In this way and all the three batches and Keep on stirring .

Step 5

Step 6

 

After sometime you will see that the mixture has condensed and it is started leaving the sides of the pan.
